Bungalows or one-level houses are famous for their various designs and their open floor plan. Their beauty is timeless as well as architects and designers always come up with innovations to enhance their appearance.

A bungalow can be one-level house or 1.5 stories.  In a one-level bungalow, all the rooms are located in the main floor and there is only one level, of course! In a 1.5-storey bungalow, some rooms like the living room, dining and kitchen, a common toilet are located in the main level.  The bedrooms are located on the upper level that can be accessed through four-step stairs or five-step. Sometimes there is also a basement for storage or laundry area.

The facade is made balanced by the two large windows and the main door in the middle.  There are two big pillars before the main entry and a small porch.

The two big pillars on the porch provide strong support to the roof and they also add appeal to its facade.  A good paint color for bungalows is beige, cream, white or light blue and should be used with other darker colors to paint the trimmings, frames and posts for contrast.

If you want to build this house, you need a budget of USD40,000-60,000. But for the rough finish, that would cost you around US$30,000 or 1.5 million Philippine pesos.  With this amount, the house is already installed with electricity and water and is ready for occupancy. You can either reduce or increase the total cost depending on the fixtures and furniture that you want to put in your house.
